Identify a phishing website

Like phishing emails, fraudulent websites can be very difficult to spot. They may have cloned graphics, logos and text that imitate a respected company's website. However, here are some details that can help determine whether it is a bogus site:

- The website address is different from normal, even if it's just one character out.
- Details are requested even when there's no padlock in the browser (to show it's a secure site).
- It requests more personal and account information than normal.
- There are lots of spelling mistakes or grammatical errors.

If, for any reason, you are suspicious of a website, do not enter any personal or information about your account or yourself. Identifying and deleting phishing emails can prevent fraudsters from getting more information about you than you intended. There are many ways to keep your personal information safe - protect yourself from the phishing fleet.
